The Euromicro Technical Committee organizes a number of satellite events attached to its 14th International Real-Time Systems Conference. This half-day workshop is the second on the series of workshops that started at the 2001 Euromicro conference (See the Euromicro technical committee page for the summary of last year's contributions.) The goal of the workshop is to bring together people from industry and academia that are interested in all aspects of timing analysis for real-time systems. The workshop will provide a relaxed forum to present and discuss new ideas, new research directions and to review current trends in this area. The workshop will be based on short presentations that should encourage discussion by the attendees. The topics of the workshop include any issue related to timing analysis, in particular:
Statements which are innovative, controversial or that present new approaches are specially sought. SUBMISSION OF PAPERS: People who would like to participate in this event are asked to submit a pdf or postcript version of a 2 page extended abstract to the workshop chairman (bernat@cs.york.ac.uk). The papers will be reviewed by an internal committee. Upon acceptance, a final paper of maximum 4 pages should be then be prepared and submitted. All papers will be made available to all participants a week before the workshop so that contributions can be examined prior to the workshop. The workshop sessions will involve 5-10 minute presentations followed by a 20-25 minute discussion. Authors will be asked to produce a final version of their paper that includes the issues covered in the discussions by 20 July, 2002. The final papers will be published by the University of York. To foster the workshop character the number of participants will be limited to 30. There will be a small charge for workshop registration. The half-day workshop will be held at the Technical University of Vienna in the afternoon of the 18th June 2002. See the Euromicro Conference on Real-Time Systems website for information on the venue, hotel reservations and Vienna.
