Interests

In the past three years, my interest moved from computer vision to Automated Intersection Management in a fully autonomous world. I am also interested in research to improve route finding in a University environment for people with impairments.

Qualifications

I first receive a Licence D'informatiques (BSc Computer Science) at the University of Caen, France in 1994, followed by a Licence de Mathematiques (BSc in Mathematics) in 1997. I completed my Diplome d’Etudes Approfondies (MPhil equivalent) in Image Analysis and Artificial Intelligence at the same University. During that time, thanks to the Erasmus exchange program, I spent 6 months at the University of Portsmouth (UK) to complete my MPhil dissertation on texture analysis. Following the 6 months research project I was offer a funded PhD at the University of Portsmouth which was completed in 2003 at the University of East Anglia (UK). The title of the thesis was Texture Analysis and Synthesis: Applications in Mammography..

Career

I have been teaching for more than two decades. I have taught at the University of Caen, University of Portsmouth, University of East Anglia, UCL, Durham University, and University of York. I have taught many core modules at undergraduate and post graduate level, such as Operating Systems, Databases, Introduction to programming, Mathematical foundations of Computer Science as well as more advanced concepts such as Distributed Systems and Software Architecture,
