Interests

My main interests are in the creative application of computer systems and software in areas including visual design, audio-visual production, 3D modelling, animation, rendering and simulation, music production and digital sound synthesis. I am also interested in Data Modelling, applications of Artificial Intelligence and in the impact of computing technologies on social and personal development. My personal interests include retro (8 & 16 bit computing and computer games design and development, music production and music software development, film, media and pop-culture.

Qualifications

MSc in Creative Technologies (Leeds Metropolitan University)
HND in Audio-Visual Design and Communication (University of Huddersfield)

Career

Prior to working in teaching in both further and higher education I worked for many years as a multimedia designer, developer and project manager within higher education and was also responsible for specifying and maintaining the hardware and software systems used in that role during that period. I have been teaching/training/lecturing for over 19 years in both further and higher education. In my current role my responsibilities include supporting learners on the online MSc programme, both in delivery and in assessment support, assessment, some development of module content and some additional responsibilities related to library resources.
